Our Services
Our Services
The mission of United Seniors of Athens County, Inc. (USAC) is to promote independence, to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing and to increase effective use of community resources by Athens County residents who are age 60 and older.
To serve this mission, USAC will make maximum use of the resources available, utilizing skilled and committed professional staff, board members and volunteers, while working in coalition with related service organizations. USAC will accomplish this part of the mission by operating the focal-point, multi-purpose senior center.
USAC will also advocate the needs of Athens County senior residents by informing and working cooperatively with constituent groups.

United Seniors is a nationally accredited senior center, a member of the Ohio Association of Senior Centers, founded in 1980. We offer a wide range of services that cater to the unique needs of senior citizens, including transportation within Athens County and out of county medical transportation in Ohio, adult day services, insurance counseling for Medicare and health insurance, grocery delivery, telephoning for wellness checks and providing valuable program information, educational and social programming, fitness and disease maintenance programming, supportive services, guided and self-guided fitness programs. Our experienced and compassionate staff is committed to providing exceptional care and support to our clients.

Our team is made up of highly qualified and trained professionals who are passionate about helping senior citizens. We take pride in providing personalized care to each of our clients and ensuring their needs are met with the utmost respect and dignity.
Currently we have a staff of 10 and many dedicated volunteers,
in four departments
Administrative, Day Programming, Community Services and Athens County Cares

We close for major holidays and during inclement weather if the school district in your area is closed, we will not provide service. We do not transport or have programming during Level 2 and Level 3 snow emergencies.
